Simon Jeremy – Director
Simon started the business originally in January 2003 to which it has gone from strength to strength over the past 13 plus years.
Simon studied in Swansea and attained a BA (Hons) degree in Accountancy in 1998 to which he then commenced his accounting career in West Wales spending extensive time working with farmers and assisting them through the foot & mouth crisis to achieve the best possible tax position.
From here Simon moved to a firm in Bristol where he further his career working with a large variety of companies from minimal turnover to +£20 million audit and limited company clients…upon qualifying as a Chartered & Certified Accountant in 2002 he took on his first management position in charge of a 4 partner firm. Simon then moved to a larger firm a short while later where he handled his own portfolio of in excess of 150 clients as well as managing the senior partner’s circa 400+ clients and the 25-30 staff over 3 offices throughout the West including giving specialist advice and guidance on numerous tax enquiries and specialist fraud cases.
Simon always knew he would return to Wales and after turning down a partnership in Somerset, he returned to Carmarthen and founded Eagle Accountancy…Simon still keeps his hand in on audits via an associate in Cardiff though his core time now is concentrated on the firm dealing with all manner of sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and charities to name but a few.

In addition it is important we too are required have a good business acumen and understanding and can provide this our clients with such excellent business advice and guidance as and when required. All this at a competitive price is paramount. Furthermore in this ever increasing ‘digital’ age it is imperative we give the advice that clients need assisting them with their online presence in the most tax efficient manner.”
Eagle Accountancy was founded on the above principles by Simon and has this ethos to this day. Simon prides himself on the above and provides a service that is second to none….you can speak to Simon any time of day (as many of our current clients will confirm business these days is not just 9 to 5!) including on weekends no matter what the size of your business and expect almost often an immediate response.
Simon now spends most of his time working with clients not only giving them clear and concise tax, business and accounting advise but helping them achieve their goals….”Freeing up my clients time to allow them to do what they do best is a win win situation for both the client and us.”
When not working Simon enjoys spending time with his family, squash, football (NUFC for me!), socialising, snooker and the gym….. doesn’t leave much time for anything else really!!

Catherine Jeremy – Practice Administrator
Catherine started at the firm in XXX where she looks after the general administration of the company and handles our mail and secretarial duties. Catherine has in the past worked for other professional services firms standing her in good stead with the necessary experience to work at a demanding and ever expending firm of accountants.
Catherine works part time at the firm and is also a partner in an outstanding Carmarthen Nursery. When not working she spends most of her time visiting her children at University and loves exercising and training on an almost daily basis.
Julie Walters – Payroll Manager, Accounting & Practice Officer
Julie commenced with the firm in XXX as a trainee payroll clerk. She soon took to this and not before long was running the payroll department for the firm including looking after the x2 staff who now prepare the payroll on a daily basis. In addition Julie is able and does advise our clients daily on all manner of aspects of payroll including staff rights on holidays, maternity and paternity pay, sick pay, minimum wage and in addition the ever increasing complexities of payroll including Real Time Information (RTI) and Auto Enrolment and its impact on the payroll process.
In addition Julie deals with all Subcontractor clients assisting them with their tax returns and CIS deductions ensuring their tax returns are prepared accurately and in a timely manner whilst achieving the maximum tax refund for the client as is permitted. Further expanding her knowledge Julie now prepares accounts for both sole traders and partnerships and limited companies and provides further bookkeeping services on SAGE for numerous clients.
When Simon is out of the office Julie takes on the role of running the practice and staff……Julie is an exceptional member of our team.

Ann Wray – Payroll Officer
Ann started at the company in December 2015!!! Ann runs the payroll for the majority of our clients on a day to day basis and prepares clients’ payrolls be it on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis and is able to advise on numerous matters in relation to payroll.
She is also responsible for preparing clients’ monthly CIS returns and can advise on calculation of deductions and implications thereof for each sub-contractor as appropriate. In addition she assists the firm further with VAT returns and bookkeeping as her time allows and has become a valuable asset to our team.
Catherine XXX – VAT & Bookkeeping
Catherine is the newest member of our team and is now proficient in many aspects of the job including bookkeeping services and preparing VAT returns. In addition she also assists the payroll department as and when required.
